Hello, it's Ben Hoh

Portrait of Ben Hoh, sitting at his dining table next to a microphone, holding a mobile phone. In the background is a bookshelf and an electric guitar.

I’ve been working at the intersection of communities, culture, design, technology and social change for 25 years, doing things like leading the design practice at groundbreaking studio Digital Eskimo and earlier, creating the digital backbone for the SWITCH digital arts centre at Information and Cultural Exchange.

With a focus that ranges from community arts and cultural development to designing digital ecosystems and multichannel services, my work explores how people and other lifeforms can sustain agency and meaning in a more-than-transactional world.
